Appointments
We aim to provide all patients asking for a routine appointment to see a GP within 48 hours of the request and see a healthcare professional (e.g. our Practice Nurse) for a routine appointment within 24 hours. Within these timescales we won't always be able to offer an appointment with the GP or healthcare professional of your choice, so if you want to see a particular person you might need to wait a little longer.
All consultations are by appointment, made either in person or by telephoning 01752 222341 during surgery hours. Appointments are available two weeks in advance and you will be offered the first available appointment with a Doctor.
To help surgeries to run as smoothly as possible please bear in mind the following points:-
- Be punctual
- Cancel appointments in good time - someone else may be in need
- 1 appointment is for 1 patient
Home Visits
A home visit takes three times as long as a surgery appointment due to the travelling time. Therefore, doctors would appreciate it if patients can attend surgery whever possible. If you are too ill to attend surgery and require a home visit, please telephone the surgery on 01752 222341 . Except in an emergency, please call before 10.00am in order to let the doctors plan their work more efficiently. All home visits are undertaken at the doctors' discretion.
Emergencies Out of Hours
If you have an URGENT medical need when the surgery is closed, please phone the usual surgery telephone number 01752 222341. You will hear a recorded message giving the out of hours telphone number to contact.
Locums and other Doctors
In order to maintain a consistently high quality of service to our patients, we will from time employ other GPs at the surgery. You may be offered an appointment with one of these doctors when your doctor is away or fully booked.
